OK, you lucky people, here's the Podcast of our interview with the uber-funky (jazzy, rocky, ....) Matt Schofield. This interview aired towards the end of Matt's "reign" as British Blues Awards Guitarist of the Year 2010 (and in the run-up to the Nominations for the 2011 awards - which Matt is in the running for). Now, we Varmints have been struck over the years at how consistently nice our interviewees have all been - without exception, no egos, just fun, down-to-earth pleasant people... and Matt was no exception - all the more remarkable given the fact that he was obviously going down with a cold or flu, had just flown in from Switzerland and had had to dig his tour van out of the snow at the airport & then crawl round motorways to get down to Bristol. ... and yet, was a consummate pro, who left the interview to deliver a blistering set. So, find yourself a pear cider (maybe a Weston's Organic) and immerse yourself in the work of a truly immense talent.
